Angel Fuller-McMahon is appealing the state’s decision to permanently revoke the license of the Turning Tide methadone clinic in Rockland.

The owner of a shut-down methadone clinic in Rockland is suing to reopen the business. The Turning Tide clinic was closed down in August, about a month after clinic owner Angel Fuller-McMahan was arrested on drug charges.

After the feds shut the Turning Tide down, the state of Maine permanently revoked its license. Fuller-McMahan is now appealing that decision in a civil suit filed in Rockland District Court, according to the Bangor Daily News.

In response to the suit, federal authorities accuse Angel Fuller-McMahon of planning to fraudulently order a shipment of methadone for a client of the clinic in exchange for cocaine, and of buying cocaine from the clinic’s clients, the paper reports.

Fuller-McMahan denies those charges, along with others brought against her in connection with the shutdown, her lawyer, Jay McCloskey, told the paper.
