Five arrested in drug busts – Staff – Rockland – Camden – Knox – The Herald Gazette

On Sept. 30, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office and MDEA agents conducted a bail search of Brandon Nelson, 25, of Wiscasset after receiving information that Nelson was heroin in the Wiscasset area. Nelson was free on bail from a July arrest for aggravated trafficking of heroin after officers found heroin and Oxycontin at his Wiscasset home.

Agents and deputies searched his motel room in Edgecomb and found 9.1 grams of heroin, a loaded 40 caliber handgun and a loaded .357 rifle in the motel room. Agents also seized 11 Suboxone pills that have a combined street value of $110. The heroin once packaged for resale would amount to between 400 to 450 doses with a street value between $8,000 and $9,000. Nelson and 25-year-old Alex Farnsworth of Wiscasset were both staying at the motel and were charged with aggravated trafficking of heroin. The charge was aggravated because of the loaded firearms. They were both taken to the Two Bridges Regional Jail.

MDEA Supervisor James Pease said additional charges are likely to be filed and that additional arrests are likely as well.
