Goodbye, Kristina

Finding NormalA grand goodbye to one of our fellow advocates, Kristina Phelps.  Kristina was a nurse, an advocate and a recovering addict.  She made two of ARM-ME vodpod videos to spread the word about the good methadone treatment can do: NO MORE NIMBY and FINDING NORMAL.

Kristina was an opiate addict, but caught HEPC from her work as a nurse.  She recently died of liver cancer, a complication many of our fellow addicts with HEPC will endure in their lifetime.

Thank you, Kristina.  You will be missed.

I am Kristina’s sister. There are 12 years between us and I feel that she not only is my baby sister but my daughter as well. Yesterday, May 1st was her birthday. We took yellow roses, her favorites, to her graveside and played music that she liked and music that expressed the way we were feeling at the time.

Thank all of you for your continued support and i want you all to know that I will carry on her plight to see that Methadone clinics are understood and that we need a cure for HepC. She would have wanted it that way and I intend to see all her wishes met.

Should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me @ donnet85@aol.com

    With much love and compassion,
    Donna and Kris
