Suboxone poisoning in Children

AEQUANIMITAS » Blog Archive » Problems in Toxicology: 006.

First I would like to say that I am not posting this because I think ANY of our readers are negligent parents.  I am posting it because EVERY parent has had a moment of “OMG!  What did he just EAT?” during their toddler years.  As stated in this entry:

” But, to all the parents out there, don’t be afraid of bringing your kids to hospital – we all know what mischief toddlers can get up to! Also, it’s always important to keep parents informed and involved as early as possible in the management of poisoned children.”

When I was a very young child (I had very attentive parents) I swallowed LYE and spent a week in the hospital.  So it can happen to anyone, anytime, with any child!  This is just a reminder:

ALWAYS  protect your child, yourself and your treatment.  Keep all medications out of reach!
